Hello Forum Members,

My name is Louise. I’m guitarist Frankie Emerson’s wife. We’ve received a few messages on our Facebook profile from people who enjoy BJM, wishing us well regarding (and/or inquiring about) our upcoming family addition. I thought it might be a good idea to join and share the news here on the Committee forum—as this appears to be the epicenter of all things BJM. Although I’ve spent the past two hours reading posts here, I admit I’m not very familiar with the protocol. Please excuse me if I mis-categorize or faux-pas in any way.

We are indeed expecting a boy this December and are over the moon about it. He’s a frisky little guy who loves kicking, somersaulting and making other elaborate gestures at all hours of the day and night, much like his Dad. Frankie aims to deliver the baby himself (under the supervision of our wonderful midwife and her staff) here at our home in New Orleans, LA.

We’re not the only ones with such news to share: Otis David Maymi was born to Ricky Maymi and Felicity Gresele on 4 September, 2009. Otis is the darlingest, most adorable baby I’ve ever seen. We can’t wait to meet him in person.

Additionally, Courtney Taylor (Dandy Warhols) and his wife, Lockett, are expecting their first baby--a boy, in January--about a month after us.

Quite a trend, huh? I imagine there will be BJM onesies on the merch table next tour

Frankie and I will most likely have our hands full for the next 18 years; but I will try to drop in at least once a month to contribute, update, share photos, etc.—so long as people are interested.

Thanks to all for your continuing support.

Yours,
Louise.

what wonderful news -- and all boys?! it must be something in the water. having raised two wonderful sons myself -- well, nothing is as miraculous as the moment when you first see your child. with my first child, it was "mr. ___, you have a son." "yes, of course I do." we didn't have fool proof sonograms back then, but i knew anyway. we had been waiting for each other for a long time. it had been ordained eons ago. look forward to any and all family news in the future, and i hope courtney's little boy is an aquarius. :D  great to have you on the board, louise.

Congrats Louise. What's your favourite Ghostbusters film if I may ask?

dear mrs teardrop

a) congratulations (we had one in feb and they are tremendous fun!)
b) nice matching T-shirts!

best of luck with it all.

have you read any of these books:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ina-Mays-Guide- ... pd_sim_b_1

tremendously inspiring. i read all of that before we had a homebirth. makes it about a hundred times less scary!
