Ok so you don't like those, why don't ya tell us what yr interests are besides 12 string guitArs and being from New Zealand? Do you really think that that is enough. Well I ll tell you in my highest Richard Attenborough diALECT: THAT IT IS NOT!!

OK... HOWABOUT your undeniably limited market value, whatever name you choose.. that's OK, we can work around that... so your handlers tell you.. but you might as well be sheep... yes? ?

WHat do you want to be? sheep-shagggers... no, leave that to the scotsmen such as ... well .. we shan't name names....

goat-shaggers? we can work with that... we HAVE RESEARCH WHICH APPROVES OF goat shagging in 5 or 6 Balkan states... congrats.. you have made it to the MTV world of real people...prepare to be reALIZED.

I was being a dick?

One thing is certain: I did not help you out.

You ask for ideas. OK. This means that you are not asking for names, since names don't express ideas in and of themselves. You are asking for ideas, which, if I am not mistaken, take some time to develop. Ideas require dialogue, the dialogue you do not want to engage in. Fair enough.

You want someone to tell you your name; you want to be told.

Do you want to be told what your name is, like a child who is told? Do you want to be the one created, the child, who gets a name from the other

OR

Do you want to be the creator, the one who names the project of creation into which you will invest your time?

"What's your name, who's your daddy?" as the Zombies put it...

Your random request engenders random results. See around the forum, and find other random questions. The random question is all around you, all over the place. Your random question, request, is all over the place. It is tangible.

The name should reflect a moment of creation, a moment when incommensurables are united in a serendipitous collision, the brian jonestown massacre, for example. It embodies being present at its own inception as the uniting of two tragedies, of the themes of abandonment and betrayal where supposed caretakers and friends kill the cared for, where the one who fathered the band, giving it its name, has its name stolen from him (brian jones, like syd barret...the creative forces signified by the name of their creative project)...the glimmer twins should have changed the name of the band in the event of brian's exclusion, just as the rest of pink floyd should have changed it with syd's exclusion (but money money money). The point: the name belongs to the creator and he (or she) is the one to give it. It names the moment of creation, whatever that project may turn out to be.

You asked the wrong (implied) question. Instead of "what" should my name be? Ask: How to go about naming my band?

Look at the names of bands whose names you like and ask why they are great names.

If this doesn't help, then it can't be helped.
