btw, never knew that Anton had such a pretty eye color.

nyway more Dead Meadow, could there ever be too much? Not for me-such a beautiful group of men. Such a powerful concert experience. Love the constructive family vibe, too.

If only Sharin Foo would take the Anton approach for her performance wardrobe. 8)

Yeah, not fair that women don't have that same option, but I guess it would be, um, too much for some to handle. I always loved that Slits album cover-women smeared in mud defiantly baring their breasts. Awesome.

Yes, that I do know...what I am not sure about is just how toxic it is because of the seemingly small amount/low level used in the fillings. I'm not a scientist nor in the medical community so my cynicism of the dental industry makes me defensive.
Perhaps it is yet another toxin in our environment that aids in alzheimers or the many cancers we all seem to eventually die from?

I'm not in the field I just sort of have an interest in holistic healing because I believe strongly in prevention and anti-aging. Allopathic medicine is great for diagnosing and acute emergency situation, but can be pretty poor once a person gets some chronic condition.
http://www.gnhealth.com/audio.php Gary Null's streaming audio page and there is a series called Toxic Teeth which should provide some answers. He's very uncompromising and research based in his approach. His natural protocols have helped a lot of people- green veg. juicing, specific supplements, diet modifications etc.
The problem with removing mercury already in your mouth is the potential release of more of it. So if a person determines they want or need to take it out, there is a specific procedure. Holistic dentists actually recommend leaving the fillings in unless you can do this properly. From what I've gathered mercury can have a wide ranging effects: in Get Healthy Now GN states that high mercury levels have been found in people with MS and other autoimmune conditions. He also mentions a Dr. Stay who cites a 1980's report which concluded that amalgam and nickel-based fillings are associated with a reduction in the number ot T-Lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell. And there were a number of wide ranging conditions mentioned. It appears that its capable of doing damage, but what it will cause in any specific person would be difficult to predict. Unfortunately amalgam fillings aren't the only source of mercury-for one thing we've probably all heard that some fish species can be highly contaminated with it.

Generlly speaking there are so many toxins out there that we can't avoid, as well as depleted soils- and the consensus seems to be that we need to really take control of what we do put in our bodies. And we may need to do some things to compensate. The Standard American Diet is probably one of the worst culprits

aha you didn't read carefully now did you? I made sure to mention who took them and provide a link. :) But if it's very unclear let me know..but for future ref. I just find 'em and choose 'em. It would be great to take pics at all the gigs, but then you'd have to make sure you weren't stoned or tipsy( not that I ever get sloppy-usually don't do much) and you couldn't really let yourself get lost in the music. Maybe after I'd seen the band umpteen times..

Medical tourism seems to be the answer for those of us who don't have insurance.

I tend to agree with Zinnia's comments. I was lucky and only had about 3 fillings. Years ago while visiting the dentist I was prompted to replace those old filings. I found it impossible to deny the logic behind getting the heavy-metals out of my mouth...

Wanted to comment on medical tourism. I go to Thailand as often as I can and have been since mid '70s. The country has boomed for dental tourism and offers a spa-like atmosphere in dental offices complete with beautiful Thai women offering massage for very reasonable prices. Dentists are professional, most trained in the west. Two words though: Due Dilligence.

P.S. Great photos
