When I Wanted You sounds like Spacegirl era Jonestown crossed with Spacemen 3 to these ears. Love it. It's all good mate but this is cracking.

cheers, i'm just getting into recording, not really sure what i want to get into, just into trying things out right now. the cracking will be due to my completely disgusting microphone and bad setup, my computers terrible, i need more ram. have a couple of new songs up, ones full of cracking, terrible i should really take it down, the other is a bit nicer i think.

I think you misunderstand us. When we say "cracking" we, or at least I, mean it in the colloquial sense (i.e. really good, top notch etc).

The sound quality is fine.

^ Indeed. there is sometimes nothing more thrilling than to hear a really great psychedelic song in lo-fi, so i likewise dont think poorly of your sound quality. all about what you are trying to achieve.

oh legit hahaha, I like shaking out the west, it sounds much more vibrant an equal to the other recordings but i think it's because i didn't rush it as much. thanks for the kind words guys, this forums great and it's nice to talk to some people who are really into psych! I feel the same way about lo fi recordings too twinkle.

have you guys ever heard of the new zealand band dead c? i saw them the other night, apparently they opened for sonic youth in the states in the 90's and did some uk shows too, i hadn;t heard of them before but fuck they were good, just straight up noise! they have a few songs on youtube i think, check em out.
