More, the EKO Dragon is a very rare guitar and (for collectors) it was bought from Zack from The December Sound. Don't miss this great guitar ! here with its brothers and sisters : Thats so beautiful.......i shed a tear

They all appear to be in excellent condition too. I picked up a pair of 12s from the mid-60's this past summer (a Vox and a Baldwin) and they do show some wear. They are playable though. I'll have to put together a family photo of my 12s one of these days.

FYI I sell the Dragon because I need money as I'm in the process of buying the VOX Ultrasonic XII from Scott (Asteroid #4)

It's not mint but it is better than average. The Baldwin is a 712R (I think that's right) in a burst finish. There is some checking in the finish and there are two small cracks on the top, near an f-hole. It is in fine shape otherwise. I'll put up some pictures next week.

You couldn't even tell that the Vox is red -- it looked black instead. So I was going to try again over the weekend. Best intentions...

buying a vox ultrasonic xii has become my great white whale. after work i walk down to chicago music exchange sometimes (i call it the guitar museum because they have nearly any kind of guitar you could possibly want in any kind of shape or year possible) and one day i walked in and saw one of those up on the wall and i couldn't resist taking it down and trying it out. holy crap was it amazing! sadly it was $2300- about 1/5th of what i make in a year. so i've decided to try and fritter away whatever money i can in the next few years in order to get ahold of one when the time is right... those built in effects are wonderful and when i tried a richenbacker 12-string (one of the newer ones) later the ultrasonic made it sound like crap on a cracker to me...

Anyone got a good reccomendation towards a 60's garage-esque fuzz ? Sonics - Louie Louie pretty much is the ideal sound I'm after. I'm after something bright with a pretty versatile fuzz range. I find my big muff is way to muddy when the fuzz is turned low. I was thinking something along the lines of a Tonebender type clone..something a 9v jack aswell. The fuzz dabble is killing me, I usually settle for most pedals quite easily but when it comes to fuzz, i'm constantly in a playing field.

I use a 60s VOX Tonebender with a Maxon GE-601 graphic equalizer : you can get a very large array of fuzz tones.
