Tape received. Can't vouch for the skipping, as I haven't had the opportunity to locate a tape player yet. It WILL happen this weekend, though. In the meantime, I can persist with listening to everything else ...

No skips detected on mine (#97/1000) at least none that jumped out as a flaw.

my copy says track 7 fade (of 21 tracks).... not hooked up yet as still getting the dust of my walkman... going to run some old tdk tapes through it to get the dust out of the inside as hate to put pol-pots in and it get chewed up.

While you are cleaning your old Walkman I would also recommend cleaning the heads. Use a Q-Tip/cotton bud and isopropyl alcohol. Clean the heads as well as the capstan. Wait 5-10 min for it to be fully dry and you should be good to go.

Fucking hell i used to have this very same walkman. Done a few miles on the paper round with that piece of awsome kit haha.

That must be about 25 year old that thing?

mine arrived last week..73/1000..something going on during phone song..not skipping..more like thudding..fadeout.distortion&return to normal..maybe this track was always like that..I must say someofya really digging out some retro gear..

Thanks for the info Scarborough.........my copy turned up yesterday - no 332. Not had a chance to play it yet....will try it out at weekend. Can't believe I paid money for a cassette LMFAO !!!! Been a LONG time since I bought a cassette.

More. I'm sure it dates back to at least 1981 (when my sister had one. And yes, we did have two headphones plugged into the same walkman and talked to each other using the microphone).
