The intro, right before Super Sonic.

Sounds like a non-specific jam/drone to me. They seem to open lots of shows like this.
When I saw BJM in Vancouver a couple years back, the set was kicked off with a looped sample from what sounded like an old movie.
Apart from just sounding good, it's a nice way to 'cleanse the aural palette' and set the mood of the night... In my opinion anyway!

The music that was played in between Federale's and BJM's sets was most likely DJed by Anton. The intro was the end of the last song, which led right into "Super-Sonic". I don't know for a fact that Anton was DJing (I couldn't see), but I'm basing that off reading about other shows. Also, one of the songs had a sample that you can hear in this video Anton uploaded on youtube.

thanks so much for this; i've got tix to the last show of tour in nyc and i've been both swamped at work and trying to lay low and not go crazy with anticipation. finally couldn't hold off, came here and found this. should hold me over nicely. thanks for sharing!
