Ive been trying to find an old message and I am starting to wonder if it was on the old message board, Rob or Ricky made referance to recording a new song with Anton which was amazing, not much more to go on but possibly recorded in Liverpool.... but I wondered if it it ended up on either of the last two albums or indeed still in the vaults...

If I could find the message it would make more sense.... but any thoughts?

I remember what you're talking about. I'm pretty sure it was Ricky and he was talking about a song that would be an "eastern delight" or something appealing like that.

From what I understood, I think it's supposed to be Tempo 116.7, on the WKSP album, but I'm still not sure about that.

For the info, that song is based on the break from rapper Paris's The Devil Made Me Do It. This is also from where come the sample "unless you don't give a fuck to be free".

I was thinking about your question and I remembered more clearly what Ricky said, it was more like "eastern ragga meets Public Enemy".
Pretty sure he mentioned Public Enemy, which seems to confirm the fact that he was talking about Tempo 116.7.

Still, where the fuck is Ricky in that song ?

do you remember the song that came out on the dead bees sampler in 2009? La Facon...(something).. its a title in french, an instrumental track. I am fairly certain this was specifically recorded in Liverpool summer of 09. Anton and I used to be in touch and i'd get a few exclusive songs as he produced them (he ended up having me put up the first vid from WKSP -- the icelandic version of First Of Your last Warnings)... i also received Detka!Detka!Detka!, Our Time, a few weird loops he was using at the time, and Feel It (Universe is gay version). Also the dubstep song he recorded with dino (dimmer) and will c. he sent it to me as "Go/Don't Go" but you can find said track in his AUFHEBEN youtube playlist under something like "Traum Waffe". actually it is right here -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBhD2irVHOg as is most things anton ever said to me, the explanations were occasionally cryptic, but i'd always had the impression that THIS was the song ricky was talking about, based on what A had said at the time. a slammin track nonetheless and i think ricky is pretty on the money with his description.

All I am going to say is that it is a great track. Iwhole heartedly believe in the power of it and I trust everyone interested here will enjoy it immensely. I don't want to spoil the surprise or build up any kind of expectations around it but it is one wicked fuckin groove with all the right ingredients around it!!! a deep, throbbing, sinister bass groove with many juxtaposed elements.. Some fantastic guitar, rhythms and composing from Anton! It's East meets West. Exotic as it is Urban. Old school meets new school. It covers all the bases!!! Quite proud of it actually! It is universally BJM however it has a feshness about it which suggests something wholy new and quite different for us. It isn't lo-fi at all either. It sounds fucking H U G E ! ! ! ! ! It's Fookin' proper mega dead-cool like! 8)

also its been a while since ive stuck my head around here... been working on a project of my own that im excited to show ya'll... anyways, cheers ladies and gents!

So are you saying that the song Ricky was talking about is Traum Waffe ? Or is it La Facon Dont La Machine Vers L'Arriere ? (by the way, that title in French...it just doesn't mean anything)

http://media.deadbees.com/sampler_09/06 ... i%e8re.mp3

Also, I like Traum Waffe but it sounds unfinished (and it probably is). Very very influenced by The Widdler's Lady Dub. A bit too much, I think...
