Does anyone know if the Psychedelica Volume 1 compilation will ever be made available for purchase? I have been checking the Northern Star website for some time now and this particular item has always been listed as "sold out." :?

As far as I know, it's out of print (if that's the right term). NSR are very active on Facebook. You can probably get a more accurate response going that route.

Love this song , have got faint memories that this was listed wrong on the CD. Two tracks mixed up.

Who cares great track , great compilation.

There's a few good ones out there

C'mon Mr. Stodmeister, don't leave us hanging. :? Love this song, and I don't think The Otherside exists anymore. So if it's actually someone else, maybe they're still making music. ? :D

This is actually Revealed by The Shrills , also sadly defunct

http://www.myspace.com/theshrills#!/theshrills/music

It was some mix up on the tracklisting , i remember commenting how great The Otherside track was to Ollie who said "Ah" that's actually The Shrills (or something like this)

I fell in love with The Otherside because of their songs on the Northern Star Comps years ago! I got one of their last CDs for sale, called Dead Trees, when they were breaking up. They also had a very limited edition EP. I never did find out what the band members went on to do, whether they formed new bands, or what.

Thanks for your interest in Northern Star. I haven't been on here for sometime and someone just drew my attention towards this so will answer in the best way I possibly can.

I can confirm that Psychedelica 1 DOES exist. However, it will NEVER ever be re-pressed. For 2 main reasons:

(1) I love the fact that there is a legendary Northern Star album doing the rounds thats as rare as rocking horse shit.

and

(2) Psychedelica Vol: 1 was the very first Northern Star release and while I'm very proud of what we achieved with it and the road it set us on, I feel we have moved on considerably as a label in the last 5 years and don't wish to repeat past glories.

An update to where we currently are: I am currently working on Psychedelica 5. The latest Northern Star compilation Revolution In Sound II was released 2 weeks ago. We currently have The Nova Saints, THe Lost Rivers and Youngteam signed to our roster and will be concentrating on releasing their music plus there a couple of new bands joining us in 2012 which I can't say too much about yet.

We have a new website set up www.northernstarrecords.com - come and pay us a visit soon. Until the next time... adios!

My Revolution In Sound I and II arrived about 10 days ago. Really excited about Psychedelica 5!
