Where in Joshua Tree? Nothing listed for Pappy and Harriet's. Enjoyed seeing the "premiere" of Legend of God's Gun in the parking lot there (though I froze my tush off).

Ha, yeah.

The "Dust Up" showing in Joshua Tree is at Bobby's Art Studio (not sure if that's a place or a proper noun used with a noun in the genitive).

Facebook event page is: https://www.facebook.com/events/179482895519619/

But on the Pappy & Harriet's side of things, Gram Rabbit and Spindrift are playing a Halloween show there on October 27. You could get the movie off iTunes or whatever and watch it while they are playing. Er...

Virginia City?! Hopefully at the Red Dog. And Bodie and Rhyolite? - very cool. Here's a vid with some Rhyolite and some pics from Bodie on a recent visit.

I have to say this tour goes through some very interesting places.

I was planning to go to Valley of Fire, but I'm tempted by a weekend visiting Virginia City and Bodie, especially if I can stop at Mono Lake. (High Plains Drifter!)

Hope you can get to Bodie, but it's a long bumpy drive - not sure a cab will take you there. Always impressed with those U2 Joshua Tree pics in Bodie. Had to be a devil of a time driving in with the snow.

Everyone likes that old car:

Gia, you might enjoy this look at the High Plains Drifter filming locations at Mono Lake.

Car bomb, your guess is as good as mine, I'm afraid. I'm not privy to any extra information.

the fourth way, thanks for the clips and pictures. I do have a driver's license now, so I could get to the ghost town shows. However, it isn't completely clear where or when they are, which makes me nervous about travelling long distance. I will probably settle for the two LA shows and maybe, just possibly, Ojai. Oh yes, forgot to mention...

November 10, Ojai Deer Lodge

Also, October 25 is marked as "Frisco UT & Valley of Fire NV", while the November 3 Albuquerque show will be at "Wheels" Transportation Museum, apparently.

Finally, "Dust Up" is available on Amazon and iTunes. Here's the update from Indiegogo...

That's really cool gia. I'll bet you're hell on wheels! :D Any word on where they'll be playing in Virginia City?

So I didn't make it to any of the ghost towns, but I did get to Tuscon, Tombstone, Bisbee and 2 shows in Albuquerque. The most fun was Tombstone, because they did a few impromptu performances for the filming.

Some photos...

There is an Asheville, NC stop on 3/24. Hopping to be able to make the drive to see them.

I'm pondering going to SLC then driving down to Las Vegas, so I can visit Bryce Canyon.

It's been a good few months since I've seen Spindrift - the LA show last Saturday was shut down by the vice cops(!)

Well, I made it to San Francisco for the show on Saturday and it was a lot of fun.

There were a few special guests - in particular, Jello Biafra sang "Ghost Riders in the Sky" and "Walk on Gilded Splinters" with Spindrift, but there were some others you might recognize. It was Sasha's last official show and a different bass player was covering for Henry. It was the first time I've heard Spindrift play "Goin' Down" which wasn't my favourite and, um, probably still isn't.

Spindrift playing Indian Run, with Jessika Von Rabbit (Gram Rabbit), Joel Gion and Jello Biafra (Collin Hegna's also in there, somewhere behind Joel)

Fine support from Matthew J Tow, including Collin on whistling etc., Ryan from Asteroid #4 and Dead Skeletons and Christof from the Quarter After, Winter Flowers etc. etc.
