this show is so totally unsettling and sad... its his birthday and theres a part where he talks about his dad

interesting. never seen campanella smoking before (or since).

These videos are pretty interesting actually. They were shot with a night vision camera, so the videos have a lime green cast and everyone's got black marbles for eyes, weird. Tons of banter and aborted songs. The band played the R'n'R HOF earlier that evening (saw that but missed the later show) and they were great! It was really nice to hear their music bouncing off all the glass walls, talk about reverb! Anton is sitting because he had broken a foot and it was in a cast. The Grog Shop was a very loose place back in the day. So loose that at one point in one of the videos the people up front take some of Jeff Davie's weed and bowl and light up in front of the cameraman, who films them partaking...overall it seemed there was a pretty good vibe that night (by watching the videos) but I have a feeling they were all tripping before the night was over. I hadn't noticed the part about his dad, but you are right, a very sad story.

Yeah definitely an interesting show, i feel like theyve definitely been more together before and since but this footage is definitely a neat little time capsule, worth having id say.

where did he talk about his dad? wasn't able to find it...

Yeah im not fully sure where he says it, but one of the videos something in the crowd sets him off and he brings it up, kinda shuts everyone up for a second actually...

Nothing new - but very cool. And reports that Mr. Gion was pretty messed up may have been wildly exaggerated.
