There's a ridiculous amount of things coming up...a veritable Embarrassment of Riches!
Definitely going to this: http://www.theecho.com/event/219829-spectrum-los-angeles/ (got tickets)
Toying with the idea of going to:
http://www.brickandmortarmusic.com/event/223491-dead-skeletons-san-francisco/
and/or
http://www.brickandmortarmusic.com/event/223495-dead-meadow-san-francisco/
Can't go to this: http://www.brickandmortarmusic.com/event/221743-asteroid-no-4-san-francisco/ and that hurts me.
Also, The Three O'Clock have reformed and are playing sometime in April
Acid Mothers Temple in LA (the Satellite, I think) the weekend after the Dead Skeletons
Kaleidoscope (or New Kaleidoscope or Peter Daltrey's Kaleidoscope not sure how they're billing it) have dates in California coming up either before or after Austin Psych Fest....
Oh, and Black Angels end of May sometime (I think my friend is taking me to the SF show)...
There was a long dry spell and now it all hits in the space of a few weeks and all involve 3-4 hour drives.
Talk about First World Problems, right?

And don't forget Occult Wisdom right in your backyard. I'm hoping to see them in Nevada City. Original booking I saw was with Wild Eyes (another band I'd like to see), but it's since been changed. Enjoy your shows. Might we see a Sirago 17 comeback in the future?? :D

Man I haven't been on here in forever! I've been so busy working and playing with my own band that I haven't had too much time to get out and see shows. But SXSW is around the corner and Austin Psych Fest and Burger Records are both putting on showcases that I'll probably be going to. I also bought tickets to see Bob Mould of Husker Du and Sugar at the Mohawk in April, and that should be pretty good.

Occult Wisdom, yes! First week in April!!
Just grabbed my Black Angels tickets for the Fillmore. Never seen them, never been to the Fillmore. And since it was LiveNation/TicketMaster, it was 2 tickets for the price of 3.

I'm going to see Peter Murphy tomorrow night! I'm not expecting a whole lot, but the fact that it's all Bauhaus makes it intriguing.

On 7/23 Super 78! is playing with Nate Ryan's (ex Black Angels) band The Shine Brothers. Really excited for that. I'm really trying to see My Bloody Valentine sometime in August in either San Francisco or Denver. Summer is picking up a little bit finally..

Saw My Bloody Valentine in SF and it was completely unreal! Couldn't believe how good they were live, especially considering that I had really high expectations. Also, played with an LA band The Hallucinations and they were also the real deal.

I'll be seeing Deerhunter on Friday; not very familiar with their work but I have friends who's opinion I trust recommend I check it out.

three weeks ago I caught my bloody valentine at the bill graham is sf. a classic starting off with my favorite off of loveless>

it was a complete artwork, referencing the threats from the "outside" to the earth, in the vein of a kind of reference to the asteroid paranoia of "Melancholia," to the threat from within (yikes), emphasized when Kevin introduced the last section of the set with the words: "Blow it all up" (Hello J. R. Oppenheimer) and you know the rest. A great night of sonic bliss and my hearing is now damaged from here to eternity. Oh, and by the way, I was blown away by the power of the rhythm section, the interaction between debbie googe and colm o'ciosoig was fucking intense -- I have rarely heard such a "synergy" a real pulse. I was also completely EN-TRANCED by the presence of rhythm guitarist and vocalist Bilinda Butcher... Watching her allowed an alteration of time, and you can figure that out for yourself, but it's immense in terms of what matters in every life.

cheers, Rowed Out

here is an example of how an example can determine things: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmMxt9q2lgk -
oh come on (and this is why you should not trust the black angels at all) good things are done beyond this...good luck in securing a feel-good scenario (the modern corporate operator enjoys this set up) -- ad **** HIM -- that ************... goood night (we evoke the good night in order to escape the responsibiility of the fucking thrust in ****....
