I know not everyone on here is a Beatles fan but I think all the films are great in their own way!
The Seventh Seal looks amazing, I'll have to track it down.
I would agree that Requiem For A Dream was just too depressing, I'd been told to watch it by so many people but when I got round to it I didn't find I enjoyed it too much.
Had no idea Machete had already been released, it looks so good!!
I watched The Fountain last night, it looks incredible but I was a little bit lost/bored with the story.. Maybe it needs a second viewing but I don't think I'll be doing that too soon..

Just saw this at the Raindance Film Festival in London - directed by Mike Bruce, who did "The Legend of God's Gun" and well worth seeing. There's another screening next weekend.

I think everyone here would appreciate the soundtrack!! (Spindrift, Federale, Lower Heaven, Gram Rabbit, Candy Apple, Vandelles, Dandys... almost distracted me from the movie).

Watched Slaughterhouse 5. Seeing the movie after reading the book made it very enjoyable.

The Girl who played with Fire - good, but so much is left out of the book.

@HelloTina After reading The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo recently, I watched the film adaptation and was severely disappointed. I haven't yet read the other two books but once I have I might not rush to check out the films... I do always quite enjoy comparing my mental images of a story to that of the director though so it was still fun.

@heel4life & yurple Enter The Void was amazing! Since I watched it I've been looking it up on the net constantly and recommending it to anyone who'll listen. In a similar way to a real life hallucinogenic experience, a lot of what happens only sinks in once the film is finished. Makes me want to visit Tokyo more than ever. I loved this film!

I hear you! This trilogy has so many side stories that a film can't capture them all in 2 hours - I guess. I was excited for the movies because the books were so good. MrHello was not impressed, but he didn't read the books. The reviews for the last film - kick the hornets nest - was not very good, but the book did a great job wrapping up all the loose ends. The Twilight movies pretty much copy the books word for word, but they are very simple Young Adult books without much depth. I never read the Harry Potter series. I wonder how many story lines were left out. :?

Black Swan - I liked it but was expecting more - more what? I don't know, but it was still good.

I don't remember the name but I watched the Pixies documentary for their reunion tour - very interesting, but sad.
