Mary Please from Take It From the Man. This song deserves it's own thread. Don't know who it sounds like, any suggestions? One of the songs on that album that I keep coming back to.
The guitars sound like Lou and Sterling tearing it up but the vocal is something else - like The Smiths fronted by Steve Kilbey. I dunno. Just a very special song.

a break from the Elevators boxset: one older rockin' album and a magnicifent new 'un
Take It From The Man! (thanks to the Mary Please reminders earlier in the page)
it's been a while but this is just mindblowingly good...there's some terrific guitar playing throughout
and Untitled #23 by The Church on vinyl (!)
their first release on wax since Sometime Anywhere i do believe... it's got the tracks from the Pangaea EP too ...gonna listen to this tonight, can't wait
