Ha, I have this album! It's an obscure but funny and odd little gem, isn't it? Remindful of Kaleidoscope (US) but not as good. Did you know that a young Felix Pappalardi (from Mountain) was in the band/plays on the album?

Yeah, I remember reading that somewhere. I never really got into the American Kaleidoscope (actually preferred their slightly fey UK counterparts) but I really love the track below. What's it called?

This track in particular makes them sound like some sort of Arabian Stones.

That's the opening track on the LP, "Wala Dai".

Yes. But, keep in mind that We The People never recorded a full-length album.

In '83 French bootleg label, EVA put out the 'Declaration of Independence' LP, which compiled their recorded output from singles and a couple EP's. Back in the day, EVA was cool as they reissued a lot of stuff that was hard to find but they tended to use vinyl records as the master source for their releases. Because this was before digital re-mastering you could often hear needle noise and any flaws on EVA's reissues. This latest We The People album comes from Sundazed who pride themselves on the quality of their reissues and all their releases are official reissues. So, it will come with the band's involvement (money for them) and if available, the music will be remastered directly from the master analog tapes.

Right on -- wasn't sure who else got this. Different, wonderful vibe. I could definitely smell the incense and I'll be checking out Lienemann.
Encore, encore! :D

sure, only a tad pretentious at times. somehow it is not working as well as it should. i like, but i'm not going to wet myself over it. maybe it's those vocals annoying me a little... i'd rather have more synths. and play it loud, no headphones. maybe the mix is weird. fake lo-fi? the music is really quiet, the only way it works is with that droning bass pouring out of your speakers really loud. tell me what you think.
